Outside play

We were playing outside this morning. Once again, I was playing with the camera. I was taking all kinds of pictures and she was getting annoyed.
this is her annoyed face. I thought it was super cute, it made me take more ..
here she was saying.....Mamaaaaa, please stop, I am trying to play
Another annoyed face and this time I got the pointed finger and she just plain said" mama, I said stop!"

Pondering....

This weekend I was preparing for Miss Diva's fourth birthday. My heart and mind can't help but travel to China , where there is a very special lady, our birth mom. I think about how her heart must be breaking right around this time. When she was due to deliver such a beautiful little girl and for whatever reason she couldn't parent her, must break her heart.
She will know that her precious little girl will be turning four this year. She will not be able to wish her a Happy Birthday or see how big she is and how beautiful she.
She will never be able to she the sass. I wonder if she herself is sassy like Miss Diva?
She maybe never she how beautiful she really. She may look in the mirror and wonder if her little girl looks like her. I, myself wonder about who she looks like. Look at those eye lashes...they are so long and beautiful. Her China parents have to beautiful people !
She may never see the silly side of the Diva and how she loves to lick you when she being silly. I do know this, we will never forget her. Her little girl is now our little girl and she is loved dearly. I will wish her Happy Birthday for both of us.
These are some cookies I have made for the birthday party.
oh how I love sugar cookies

                                                              rice krispie shoes...

2 years HOME

2 years ago today, we stepped of a very long flight from Beijing to Toronto. She did a wonderful job flying. Only time was to tell how she react and settle into a family filled with love and craziness.

We had a limo service dropping off and picking us up at the airport because neither one of us wanted to drive after that long flight. Also, we had no idea how she was going to react to being strapped in a car seat. They don't use car seats in China still.

We have been measuring her growth(height) on her closet door. She is getting so tall! I  have been measuring every 6 months. I can't believe the difference in all areas of development in this little girl. She is our world.
We love you Wang Feng Yan and Happy 2 years home sweet girl!!

Fire sparklers

Jason and I bought a few fire sparklers to see if she would be afraid of them. She did great and thought they were pretty cool.

Look how big she is getting!

Holidays

We were all very excited to be on holidays. When we arrived Wednesday , there was hardly anyone at the hotel. We checked in, took a look around and  headed for the Christmas store.

Miss Diva hanging out in the hotel playing with her toys. She loves going on a holiday.
Miss Diva and baba heading over to the Christmas store. This store is the largest Christmas store in the world. It's opened 361 days of the year. The have posted in there that the size of Bronner's is something like 8 football fields long. HUGE. I went back 3 times and still haven't finished looking.
Baba and Miss Diva sitting on a polar bear outside the store.
                                                               Michigan state fan
Mama and her little princess are off and shopping. She kept saying"whooo sparkly mama."

Zehnder's splash village. Miss Diva isn't overly thrilled about getting into the water but she loved this water park. The first day, she spent 3 hours in it.
                                                              the lazy river
my froggy on the lily pad
we went for a walk in town and saw lots of stuff. She saw a horse and carriage and was a little freaked out.
She loved having her picture taken in these board pictures. I am not sure what to call them. Everyone we saw, she had to have her picture taken in them.
We wanted to do the river boat tour but didn't have enough time. That just means we have to go back.
This picture was taken on the covered bridge, through the holes in the lattice. It's just beautiful to walk around here. So relaxing!
Miss Diva loved looking at the waterfalls
                                                                 Our little cupcake!
This accessory store was amazing. It was like walking into a little girls jewelry box. The walls were all covered with hot pink satin and the way they had the accessories displayed was fabulous. I looked around for quite sometime and found a few treasures to buy.
Aren't the just the cutest little fairies?
They feathers in this Indian was all made with lollipop's. I thought for sure she was going to ask for one but she just asked what it was made from and was off to see something more.
Watching the lady at the one candy store make fudge. She makes it look so easy.
They also made salt water taffy there. It was so neat to watch how taffy was made and how this machine folds it so many times.
She loved it in the water park. This is the second time in the water park and we had to take her out screaming because it was closing in 10ins. I was thrilled she loved it here.
                                                                   Huge dragon fly
They have 2 huge water slides in this water park. 2 huge twisty twirly slides that go in and out of the building and finally into the water. She loved this and kept going back for more.

2 year Reunion.

We all decided that it was to cold and wet to go to the tulip festival, so we went to the children's museum instead. Miss Diva doesn't like anything that has to do with clowns or covering your face. She had a hard time with the theatre exhibit but we talked her thru it.

We just decided to do the fancy curtains and then sat and watched the other children play.
