Cottage Part 3 (last day)

So finally, after pulling several ribbons. The treats came flying out. The girls had a blast. This was so much fun for them.

                                                        silly girls.......gotta love them
blowing bubbles on the dock with Leanne
helping clean the corn for dinner. This was a different thing for the princess. She has never done this before. She didn't like it. It was getting in her hair and she was not happy about it.
She fell asleep while eating dinner that night. She was so tired. Joad was trying to wake her by putting or trying to put a hot dog in her mouth. She didn't flinch. She was so funny, she has never done this before.
                                                        roasting pink marshmallows
Jennie was so consumed with her marshmallow. She was having a blast with it. OR should I say, making a mess with it. She was funny!

Cottage Weekend Part 2

Saturday morning's breakfast was very yummy! Leanne made blueberry pancakes! They were delicious! We also had bacon, a fruit salad and toast. What a great way to start another busy day.

Leanne had brought sun visors for the girls to decorate for a craft. This kept them busy for a while. They were a lot of fun.

Cottage Weekend Part1

We were invited to our friends Leanne and Joad's cottage for their daughter's 5th birthday. We were excited and so was the princess to see her friends and go to their cottage. She had no idea what "the cottage" meant, but it involved her friends, so it had to be fun.

We were a little nervous about how the princess was going to react to the boat ride. Considering she doesn't like loud noises, I was a little nervous. Joad helped her in and she was ready to go.
She loved it! She was saying "weeeeeeeeee" and uncle Joad go faster...She loved the speed. What a little daredevil.
                                                              Just beautiful there!
Our fully stocked fridge. We had everything we needed and could have stayed a week. Lots of food!
                                                                  Joad doing dishes!
Jan is going to kill me, but we laughed so hard because she had 1 glass of wine and was pretty happy.

Busy week!!!

This week has been the busiest week we've had since Miss Diva has been home. First, she started her next level of swimming and she was so excited to be swimming in the "BIG" pool.

                                                         waving "HI" to mama
Waiting patiently with baba for her swimming lessons to start...she is such a wonderful little girl!

Next,( the same day)she had an eye appointment. This was her first time visiting them. Jason has been going to this practice for years. She was very nervous but Chris was amazing with her. She told me after that she thought he was very silly.LOL

                                                               3 D glasses. Picking out the 3 D pictures.
She was funny! All 3 of us had our eyes examined, Baba first, then mama and then Miss Diva. While baba was doing his letters, she was saying them out loud. I had to remind her that it was baba's turn first to play the game. LOL silly billy.

Then on Thursday, she had a dentist appointment. This is always a hard one for her. People in her mouth isn't a good memory. I can't blame her, really. We talked to her about it and being scared is okay and that baba was going with her. She asked if she could take her bear bear along. Then she was more willing to go. Jason said she did great until the floride treatment. She started crying.

Miss Diva has chipped tooth in the very front. We knew this coming home but thinks it's kind of pointless to cap it, if, it's not hurting. She is going to loose that tooth anyway. We also noticed with her getting darker outside that she has a scar on her knee that looks like stitch marks. So,we are wondering if she fell, while in China and chipped her tooth and needed stitches...Interesting. We are going to chat with the Ped. Dentist on the cleft team.

Otherwise, a great week over all. Great job baby!

Nails

On Monday (july1), Miss diva asked me very nicely if I could paint her nails.I remember, while waiting to travel to China, I told Jason , "I hope she is a girly, girly." Wow, did I ever get my wish.

Sitting very patiently getting her finger nails painted. She was so proud to have them painted again.

Last dance....(for the summer)

I love to see her having so much fun. She truly enjoys dancing and we love watching her!

P.D Day Bowling

On Friday, the kids were very excited to be done another year of school. I have mixed feelings about it! Happy to have a break from walking to and from school but a little sad to not see some of my friends there. When I return to walking, I will also be leaving my baby there for the entire day as well. I am not liking that at all BUT, this is life.

so, on Friday, we did whatever we wanted. We read stories, played outside, painted outside with outside paint, but the kids were thrilled to play bowling. We had a blast!

Miss Diva having a turn with the bowling ball...she loved this
