Zhang Yi Hui

So the way you pronounce his name Zhong Ye Way. They call him Way Way @Zhangjiagang orphanage. So the reason I cannot find anything on this orphanage is because it's very small and they don't have a lot of children and they do not do a lot of international adoptions.

We left our hotel around 1:25pm and arrived at the civil affairs office about 1:45. The room was filled with anxious parents and we were the last to arrive. When we walked through those doors, Dru was there, waiting with one of the nanny's and the orphanage director. The orphanage director noticed  Jason immediately and walked over to us. It took a few tries to pick him up but he came screaming. Exactly what this mama had prayed for.
It all happened so fast that there was no time for video or hardly any pictures - but he is wonderful. They weren't lying about his weight. Wow is he ever solid! I did notice that his palate is not actually repaired. It's all good! The orphanage director told us that he is their treasure and he is going to be greatly missed. Asked us to care for him well and love him. They brought with him everything we sent to him, sat with us and answered 3 pages of questions, gave us a bag of things that belong to him. Formula, extra set of clothes, 16 diapers, bib, towel, "his" bottle, the finding ad, and most importantly, the note that his birth parents left with him.

They told us that if there is anything we want for our son, they are willing to do it. We can visit the orphanage, take pictures and video, but they asked us to please try and avoid the faces of the children, for their privacy. We will get to meet his favorite nanny, see his friends, and see where he lived. Apparently, his best friend was a girl. She has already been adopted to an American family and the orphanage director said he will see if they are permitted to give out their email address. Amazing!

I will post later. We have to meet the government officials and finalize everything today!

Love from Nan Jing

Em
